James “Jamie” Brown is the New Lenox Fire Protection District Fire Marshal. He has been in the fire service for 31 years, all of them with the NLFPD. Currently, he oversees the Life Safety Division. He is also an Advanced Fire Prevention Officer and Arson Investigator. He has his degrees from Kankakee Community College and certifications through the Office of the State Fire Marshal. He was Rookie of the Year in 1992 and received awards from the Silver Cross Emergency Medical Services System Outstanding Call of the Year in 1996, 2006, and 2011. Jamie also served as President of the Illinois Fire Inspectors Association.
