Freeze Protection and Flood Prevention on Dry and Pre-Action Fire Sprinkler Systems

When:  Oct 5, 2021 from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM (PT)

Jim McHugh
Dry and pre-action fire sprinkler systems often fail due to freezing, improper maintenance, or vandalism. That leaves building occupants at risk and can cause thousands in facility damage due to flooding. Prevention is the cheapest, quickest, and easiest way to avoid weather-related problems or flooding with dry pipe sprinkler systems. This presentation will review NFPA 13 code requirements for freeze protection and auxiliary drains. Participants will understand common issues with auxiliary drains on dry fire sprinkler systems and learn how to minimize risk and expenses with a proactive approach. It will also include an overview of COLLECTanDRAIN products that solve the most common issues encountered with auxiliary drains.
