This panel discussion to examines environmental concerns when conducting fire sprinkler inspection, testing and maintenance (ITM). It will also explore how to properly discharge fire sprinkler water in a manner that minimizes environmental and health impacts, and how regulators can better ensure that discharge is being done in an appropriate manner. The panel consists of a cross section for the industry experts, representing a wastewater quality enforcement organization, a contractor member familiar with testing and discharge requirements,, manufacturer of polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) foam, and an Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
