There have been many recent large wood frame building fires in buildings under construction. In response, NFPA provided a research report in 2020 on the topic and changed NFPA 241 from a 6-year to a 3-year cycle. The NFSA Engineering & Standards committee worked directly with the NFPA 241 committee on many revisions for the 2022 edition to address the concerns of the sprinkler industry.
